year or so I have been experimenting with novel approaches to photographing
flowers, both wild and garden plants. This 'Worm's-eye View' of corn
marigolds was one such experiment where I wanted to contrast the yellow
flowers against the clear blue sky and pick out the detail of the underside
of the flowers which most people never see. The extreme wide angle lens
I used for this photograph is fast becoming my favourite for botanical photography
and adds impact to the composition."
